A Lutheran Is -
A Christian who believes the Bible is God's inspired Word and the message of salvation in Jesus Christ is the point of the Bible.
A sinner who knows that, of myself, my whole life and being is self-directed, self-controlled, self-motivated, self-confident, and headed for destruction.
A saint who believes that, in Jesus Christ, I am totally forgiven, completely accepted, loved with an unlimited love, and destined for heaven.
A child of God who believes that new birth into God's family is not the result of my own reason or strength, but of the Holy Spirit who works faith in me through the message of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection.
A follower of Jesus whose goal is to love others as He has loved us.
- A witness who gives an example of faith, hope and love in the world so others might know Jesus and believe in Him.
As individual Christians, we witness to the reality of Jesus' grace and love every day - through our actions and through our words.
